Like all of our citrus trees, the Persian Lime Tree makes a brightly coloured and fragrant addition to your home. Persian Lime, aka seedless lime, Bearss lime or Tahiti lime, is a citrus hybrid cross between the smaller Key Lime and Lemon. Regardless of what you call it, the Persian is the most common lime found in grocery stores.
Details
Easy to care for, the Key Lime will bear flowers and fruit off and on throughout the year. Like many citrus trees, it is especially productive in the Spring and Fall.
Glossy, oval leaves growing on stems that are virtually thornless. The leaves are typically accompanied by white, fragrant flowers. Those flowers are followed by fruit that is oval-shaped, about the same size as a lemon, with a vivid green peel which turns yellow when ripe.
